Two passions that have always been consistent in my life are writing and music. So I figured, why not combine the two? I am fascinated by melodies and lyrics and the nature of the composition of a song. What was the artist thinking or going through at the time? When was the song recorded and why was that relevant? What social and political issues were happening at the time of release? These are questions I want to explore in this blog. Each week I will pick a song to delve into, analyze, and sprinkle in my own personal thoughts and opinions on it. I hope whoever stumbles upon this place finds it enjoyable:)
